Gamespot.com reports that the second Ninja Gaiden game released for the Nintendo Entertainment System is coming to the Wii Virtual Console. The ESRB must rate games before they are released. On the ESRB site, they recently added Ninja Gaiden 2 The Dark Sword of Chaos to their listings. The ESRB gave this title an E rating. The first Tecmo Ninja Gaiden game has already been released for the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console. Its sequel will soon follow.
Ninja Gaiden, which is now available on the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console, was first released on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1989. According to Wikipedia, this first Ninja Gaiden game was based on the arcade version and was very similar to another game called Double Dragon.
The first Ninja Gaiden game started many features that would be seen throughout the series. The first game was loaded with cinema style scenes between stages. This was unlike any other Nintendo game released during its time. The Ninja Gaiden series is known for being incredibly difficult to beat. If you made it all the way to the final boss, and were killed, the game would send you back to the beginning. Note that when you are good at gaming, high is the chance you’d do well playing some fun casino games via continuousassurance.org as well.
The series starts out with a ninja named Ryu who receives a letter from his dad. His dad has been missing and tells Ryu that he needs to go to America to find two hidden statues. He says the two statues can bring and end to the entire world. And so, the Ninja Gaiden adventure begins.
With the success of the first game, Wikipedia reports that Tecmo went to work and released a sequel, Ninja Gaiden 2 The Dark Sword of Chaos. They released this game one year after the first game, in 1990. Ninja Gaiden 2 continues the story and characters from the first game.
One new feature in Ninja Gaiden 2 included the new ability to climb walls by simply pressing the up or down button on the Nintendo controller. In the first Ninja Gaiden game, Ryu could only attach himself to a wall and was not able to move in any direction.
A second new ability gave Ryu the ability to copy himself. By finding a special item, an orange duplicate of Ryu would appear on the screen. This duplicate would follow the original Ryu and mimic all of his actions. As many as two duplicates of Ryu could be used at one time.
According to Wikipedia, Ninja Gaiden 2 The Dark Sword of Chaos is the most popular of all three Ninja Gaiden trilogy games. Ninja Gaiden 2 was developed with less of a challenge than the previous two games had.
Ninja Gaiden 2 also had a feature not seen in very many Nintendo games. Ninja Gaiden 2 had a lot of blood and violence. There were scenes with blood dripping from the sword of Ashtar, Jaquio was put into a pool of blood and firearms were also used in the sequel. In the Super Nintendo version, the blood was edited from red to green. And the pentagram on Jaquio’s shirt was also removed. Fans will find out which version is released on to the Wii Virtual Console soon.
Ninja Gaiden 2 The Dark Sword of Chaos will be released on the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console in the coming weeks.
